Karatina University is a fully- fledged University which was awarded a Charter on 1st March, 2013 by His Excellency Hon. Mwai Kibaki, Third President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-In- Chief of the Defence Forces. Karatina University is the successor of Moi University Central Kenya Campus. The University is located 15 Km North of Karatina town. It has a conducive environment for academic work and offers a range of market driven Masters, Bachelors, Diploma and Certificate Programmes. The University envisions becoming a World Class University with quality teaching, creative learning, innovative research and strong community outreach.
